Department of Periodontics is located on the ground floor of four storied Subharti Dental College. The dept functions in 2 units, Namely the Under Graduate and the Post Graduate wings. The department has latest diagnostic and exclusive surgical instruments for general and plastic procedures.

The dept has all the equipment needed for UG/PG teaching besides there is provision for treatment of implants cases

WORKSHOPS ORGANIZED

We have initiated a series of CDE programs an acronym for Continuing Dental Education. Under this banner we have conducted 3 national workshops at Subharti which have been thundering success with the post – graduate students as well as practising Periodontists. These have been

· Lasers in Clinical Periodontics - 2010

SPECIAL EQUIPMENTS

RVG, Camera for intraoral photography, electro cautery, Diode Laser, water pik, pulp tester, desensitron, ultrasonic cleaner, surgical loops, Multimedia facilities with OHP, LCD and slide projectors, are all available. All the hand instruments are of most popular Hu-friedy company.

Regenerative grafts, resorbable and non resorbable barrier membranes of best companies (Gore Tex), excellent imported wound dressing materials, local drug delivery system medicaments, best splinting materials, atraumatic suturing needles, all varieties of suturing materials, are being used to treat OPD cases.
